I just installed a stock Fedora Core 7, and then followed the  
instructions at
http://wiki.laptop.org/go/Sugar_on_Fedora

Followed by the instructions at
http://wiki.laptop.org/go/Sugar_with_sugar-jhbuild

The keyboard input is all wrong, and I don't yet understand why; it's  
probably some strange locale mapping issue.  But when you run sugar- 
emulator, you do indeed get something that looks a lot like an OLPC.
